Elizabeth, who did not want to give her surname, said she and Chester had been to see vets more than 10 times in recent months, and they had all been “totally stumped(被难住,困惑)”. Chester was initially treated for conjunctivitis(结膜炎), before Elizabeth was told it could be hay fever(花粉症,枯草热) because of the lack of rain and high pollen count(花粉计数), and then the vet thought her pet might have an autoimmune disorder(自身免疫性疾病).
