The US has launched new airstrikes(空袭) on Iranian targets, prompting(促使，引起) counter strikes by Tehran targeting American interests in Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and Iraq, fuelling concerns(加剧担忧) about a wider renewal of hostilities(敌对行动，战争).

US Marine Corps base Camp Titin in Jordan was targeted for an “intense ballistic missile(弹道导弹) attack”, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) said early on Wednesday, according to Iranian news outlet(媒体机构，出口) Tasnim.

The Jordanian army said it intercepted(拦截) 10 ballistic missiles fired from Iran, and did not confirm any injuries or hits on the US training camp located on(位于) the Gulf of Aqaba(亚喀巴湾，红海北部海湾), near the borders with Israel and Saudi Arabia. Three other missiles landed in remote areas, it said.
