Attempts to stoke(煽动，激起) a climate crisis culture war(文化战争) must be rejected or the world will face economic disaster(经济灾难), the UN’s climate chief has warned.

“The climate crisis is now a continent-wide(整个大陆的) economic security emergency(经济安全紧急事件),” he told a committee of the European parliament on Thursday morning. “We’ve seen mass evacuation(疏散，撤离)s. Power stations closed. And trade routes choke(阻塞，堵塞)d. Crops lost. Yields down. And food prices up – and set to rise further.”
