The latest attack on the international airport in Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh killed 12 people and injured more than 300 others, civil aviation(民航) authorities said early on Sunday, with some in a critical condition(危重状态). A Saudi-led coalition(联盟) blamed Iran-backed(伊朗支持的) Houthi rebels in neighbouring Yemen.

A missile(导弹) struck a King Khalid international airport complex(建筑群) housing terminals 3 and 4 for domestic flights, a regional official said, speaking on condition of anonymity(要求匿名发言) because they weren’t authorised to(被授权做) speak to the media.

A Saudi statement said the dead included four Saudi citizens as well as(以及) two Bangladeshi nationals(公民), a Palestinian, a US citizen, an Egyptian, a Jordanian, a Syrian and a Sudanese. It said the injured were being treated at several hospitals.
