As SpaceX released its second-ever(史上第二次的) public earnings report on Tuesday, Elon Musk declared his support for combining the aerospace(航空航天) and AI company with his electric vehicle company, Tesla. He said both companies had created special committees(特别委员会) to explore a potential merger, but have not reached any agreement on terms of a transaction(交易).

“Both SpaceX and Tesla have formed special committees to discuss this idea at the request of(应……的要求) shareholders and these special committees are, uh, consist of independent directors,” Musk said on the call. “Because I’m a conflicted party, I can’t actually be in the discussions of the special committees.(由于我本人存在利益冲突，我实际上无法参与特别委员会的讨论。)”
